During the visit, Dr. Wissing was convinced by the Niedax Group's plans to intensify its commitment both in its home market in Germany and in strategically relevant markets abroad, thus ensuring economic growth. In particular, the Federal Minister welcomed the investments of the hidden champion in the urgently needed optimization of Germany's digital infrastructure. The Niedax Group had agreed upon a corresponding strategic partnership with the company GigaFiber in June 2024 to accelerate the expansion of the glass fiber network in Germany.
Dr. Volker Wissing, Germany's Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, says:
“Mid-sized companies are the backbone of the German economy and Niedax is an outstanding example of this. As one of the world's leaders in cable management systems, the company from Rhineland-Palatinate is a true hidden champion with impressive growth. Its revenue has multiplied within just a few years. The products manufactured near Linz am Rhein are used all over the world, for example in data centers, wind power plants and telecommunications infrastructure. As the Minister responsible for Digital and Transport, I welcome the Niedax Group's plan to expand a secure glass fiber network with GigaFiber along railways and other transportation routes. I hope that Niedax and its employees will continue to maintain their impressive innovative strength and serve as a role model for other medium-sized companies in the future."
Bruno Reufels, CEO, Niedax Group, adds:
“One of our visions is, in particular, the rapid modernization of infrastructure. However, this is difficult to implement if the necessary economic conditions are not put in place – especially for small and medium-sized companies. I am convinced that courageous investments by politicians can have a positive impact on many sectors of the economy. Therefore, I am very pleased that Dr. Wissing and the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport appreciate and support our engagement. The upswing of the German economy can only succeed if politics and industry work hand in hand.”
